Our Chianti Superiore is a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot. The Sangiovese and the Merlot varieties are vinified separately in the cellar.
Both varieties does a maceration of about 25-30 days in contact with the skins. The wines are then aged in oak for about 12 months, 2500-liters barrels for the Sangiovese and barriques for the Merlot.

Description

Our Chianti Superiore is a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot. The grapes are hand-picked in small boxes then immediately transported to the cellar where undergo to strict selection on two conveyors. Sangiovese and Merlot varieties are vinified separately in the cellar.
The maceration period is of about 25-30 days in contact with the skins. The wines are then aged in oak for about 12 months, 2500-liters barrels for the Sangiovese and barriques for Merlot.
The final blend is made using only the better barrels. After the blend some extra aging time in big barrel. The resulting wine has a lively, ruby colour, intense perfumes, harmonious taste and soft and velvet tannins. Our Chianti Superiore is aged in bottle for about 5 months.
